South Wales Central MS and Former Welsh Conservative Senedd Leader Andrew RT Davies has warned Rachel Reeves’ spending review will be viewed in Wales against the backdrop of Senedd expansion, in which £120million will be spent on 36 more politicians.
Labour, Plaid Cymru separatists and the Lib Dems all voted to create the new Senedd members, which are set to cost up to £120million over the course of a Senedd term.
Mr Davies said:
“Every decision impacting Wales announced by Rachel Reeves next week will be set against the backdrop of Labour, Plaid Cymru separatists and the Lib Dems splurging £120million on 36 more Senedd members.
“As tough decisions are taken elsewhere, that’s where those parties’ priorities lie.
“It’s an absolute disgrace – Wales needs investment in our public services, not more politicians.”
