South Wales Central Conservative MS Andrew RT Davies has backed the campaign to save The Three Fields between Cowbridge and Llanblethian.
A community campaign has been launched to raise funds to purchase the site.
This will see it conserved as a community asset and protected from future development.
The land is up for auction on 23rd February. Campaigners hope to raise £185,000.
Mr Davies said:
“The Three Fields is an area of natural beauty that is an important asset to Cowbridge.
“We must protect the site from development, and I’m delighted to support the campaign for a community purchase.
“If it succeeds, this will ensure the land is conserved for generations to come.”
