South Wales Central Conservative MS Andrew RT Davies has told the Vale of Glamorgan Council it must listen to residents’ concerns regarding plans to build almost 400 houses at Weycock Cross.
Residents have demonstrated at the site in Barry, citing concerns regarding access, congestion, pollution and pressures on services.
Concerns were raised about the Council’s consultation as part of its Replacement Local Development Plan, which Mr Davies described as “flawed”.
Mr Davies said:
That so many members of the community have taken time out of their busy lives to demonstrate against these plans shows the strength of feeling.
Weycock Cross is completely unsuitable and residents’ concerns are completely justified.
The Council must listen and drop the site from the RLDP.
