Conservative Senedd member for the Vale of Glamorgan and Bridgend Andrew RT Davies has praised the Vale of Glamorgan Agricultural Society for another successful Vale of Glamorgan Show.
Despite the intense heat, the Show went exceptionally well, with a range of exciting attractions and entertainments on offer.
Mr Davies praised all who pulled it together, with particular thanks to Show Secretary Sarah Fenner and 2026 President Andrew Thomas.
He congratulated all successful competitors and said the trade stands “really pulled out all the stops”.
Mr Davies said:
“The Vale Show Glamorgan Show is always a must attend event – and 2026 was no different.
“It welcomes people from across the Vale and beyond – and is at the heart of our agricultural calendar.
“This summer’s heatwave posed many challenges to the organisers, but they navigated them to make the Show a huge success.
“Thanks must go to all who made it possible – but I’d like to single out Secretary Sarah Fenner who did a top job once again.
“I’d also like to congratulate my good friend Andrew Thomas of HRT – who are celebrating their centenary this year.
“They are an important local employer in the Vale, and it was very apt to see him to take on the role.”
