Conservative Senedd member for the Vale of Glamorgan and Bridgend Andrew RT Davies has spoken of his worry and sadness at reports of a fire at the Hare and Hounds, Aberthin.
The popular pub is known for the quality of its food and its warm atmosphere.
It has picked up several awards and accolades, including the prestigious Michelin Bib Gourmand.
It was also named Best Local Restaurant in Wales in the Good Food Guide 2019.
Mr Davies said:
“I’m deeply saddened and worried to hear of reports of a fire at the Hare and Hounds.
“The team have worked so hard to create a successful and popular pub at the heart of Aberthin.
“My thoughts are with them all at this difficult time.”
