Conservative Senedd member for the Vale of Glamorgan and Bridgend Andrew RT Davies has said Plaid Cymru budget lies must be rebutted.

Finance Minister Elin Jones claimed finances were “more challenging” than she had expected.

But former First Minister Mark Drakeford said Plaid had access to all financial information available.

Mr Davies also pointed out Plaid had access talks with civil servants ahead of the election.

He said Plaid’s failure to fulfil manifesto commitments was down to making uncosted pledges.

Mr Davies said:

“Plaid Cymru separatists’ first month in office has been marred by broken promises on childcare and endless reviews.

“The finances aren’t worse than expected – Plaid made uncosted pledges and now they’re struggling to deliver them.

“Plaid lies must be rebuffed.”
