Conservative Senedd member for the Vale of Glamorgan and Bridgend Andrew RT Davies has thanked firefighters in attendance at the old Aberthaw Power Station.
Authorities have advised all residents in the area to keep doors and windows closed due to large amounts of smoke.
Mr Davies said:
“I’m deeply concerned by the fire at the Aberthaw Power Station site – and I’d like to thank the brave firefighters at the scene who are working hard to make the area safe.
“All residents in the area should follow advice issued by authorities in the area – including to keep doors and windows closed.
