Davies: “Local businesses like Trecco Bay must be backed”

South Wales Central Conservative MS Andrew RT Davies has demanded those in power listen to concerns voiced by local businesses.

Mr Davies, who chairs the Senedd’s Economy, Trade and Rural Affairs Committee, made the comments on a visit to Trecco Bay Holiday Park in Porthcawl.

During the summer season, the Park employs up to 600 people, making it key provider of local jobs.

Mr Davies was shown around the Park by Paul, Charlotte and Marcin.

Mr Davies said:

In Bridgend and the Vale of Glamorgan, we’re fortunate to have some really great businesses.

Trecco Bay Holiday Park is one. At the height of the summer season, they employ 600 people, playing a vital role in our local economy.

I’m really grateful to Paul, Charlotte and Marcin for showing me around today, and for being so generous with their time.

The number of local jobs dependent on businesses like Trecco Bay shows why they need our support.

When local employers and businesses voice concerns, those in power must listen.
