DAVIES: “Keltruck Scania apprenticeship opportunities key to Vale economy”

South Wales Central Conservative MS Andrew RT Davies has visited Keltruck Scania Distribution Centre on Leckwith Road.

Mr Davies was joined on the visit by fellow Conservative MS Joel James, and they were shown around the site by Branch Manager Shaun Middlecote.

The centre is crucial to the economy in the Vale of Glamorgan, and supplying and providing services to many local businesses.

As well as supplying vehicles, the centre also carries out repairs, services and MOT testing.

On the visit, Mr Davies met with two apprentices, and he praised Keltruck for the high quality training opportunities provided.

Mr Davies said:

“Keltruck Scania plays a key role supporting the Vale economy by supplying many of our local businesses.

“It was a pleasure to visit, and I’m exceptionally grateful to Shaun for being so generous with his time.

“Not did he take the time to explain all the services provided, he also explained the training opportunities they provide.

“Good quality vocational education is so important to our economy.

“The apprenticeships offered at Keltruck are playing a big role in providing the skilled workforce our area needs.”
